As a musician who grew up within the jazz community, this space is profoundly personal to me. While I have always connected with others through sound, photography has become my second language—a medium to ensure the artists around me are truly seen and heard.
This project goes beyond merely documenting performances. It is an effort to capture the untold stories, the quiet vulnerability, and the raw emotion behind the music. Growing up, I drew immense inspiration from the amazing musicians in this community. Photographing them is not just a tribute to their impact on my life; it is a way to experience and deeply connect with their art from both an audio and visual perspective. Through the lens, I am still listening.
